2014 Audi A5 2.0 TDI Sportback S-Line 177hp CVT

Hi all,

So I have had this strange suspension knocking noise for the last couple of months, but as of yet still haven't been able to determine the cause. It seems to only occur when driving over speed bumps at low speeds (between 5-15mph roughly). The noise is almost a shudder than just a single knock and only really happens when the suspension is compressed at low speeds. If you were to drive over the same bump at 20mph+ the noise isn't there.

The car has just had it's MOT and there were no advisories in relation to the suspension. The garage that completed the MOT have previously had the car up in the air and were unable to find the fault either. I had the front D bushes changed when the MOT was done to see if this was the cause, unfortunately it wasn't, so currently I am at a loss!

If anyone has any ideas or experienced a similar fault, help a brother out!

Cheers,

Johnny

Hi Johnny
Yes I have just come across the exact same problem.
Based on guidance from this site I checked my Headlight Range Level sensor (mines near last hand rear wheel) - it was NOT the problem.

Have you had any luck in tracking down the cause yet?

Thanks
John
