Dear friends,

I moved my backrest all the way back to clean the seat,, and now when i press the switch to move it forward it won't work. All the rest of the positions work fine and also the switches are fine. Only the switch that moves the backrest backwards and front is off. Now the seat is all the way back, and i cannot drive the car.

Any help?

Best regards

try unplugging the negative pole of the battery hope it will reset.. otherwise it could be a faulty backrest motor problem..

Did that but nothing happened. I just got back from the audi dealer in Limassol. They've told me i need a motor and the electric module for the front seat, costing over EUR800.

Does anybody from Cyprus, knows any good electrician, to check it also with him? For this money, i can buy the whole interior from e-bay.

Best regards

Hi did you get your car fixed? - I have a similar problem now - 2007 A5 3.0 TDI Quattro - I think my 7 year old moved the back rest all the way forward and now the back rest will only move backwards and towards the back seats and won't go upright anymore - all other seat functions are working correctly - have you a solution for this?

Thanks very much for any help you or anyone can give!!!

...Thanks very much for your reply - So it was the module which was at fault - I guess I will have to get another one also!

An update on my Seat Backrest Not Moving Upright - So I decided to Swap the Fully Functional Passenger Seat Control Module with my Drivers Side Seat Control Module and unfortunately I still can not move the seat back rest back up into the upright position and the passenger seat is still fully functional now with the drivers side seat control module - I am now however getting the following errors (I didn`t see any seat related errors before the swap) - I am hoping that I can program my way out of this - Any help from any member of the forum is greatly appreciated!!!!
