Hi,
I have a B8.5 Cab with the standard facelift LED rear lights.
Does anyone know if you can just replace the rear light clusters with dynamic equivalents?

Is the dynamic module built into the cluster?
Will the standard wiring loom to the replacement lights work?
Will I need to do any coding with VAGCOM?

Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Lee

Not a thing, you can get “sort of” dynamic rear lights with a module that delays just one set of the lights of the rear set that allows it to mimic a sorta dynamic look.

seen it done though and it must’ve been a huge overhaul in electronics.

unless you have time, patience, money and a good understanding of electronics, I just wouldn’t bother.

Not to pee on your parade.
On a lighter note you can get dynamic wing mirror side light!

Yes you can, as It's a PCB & bulb mod done inside the lights- Richard Parkes does a decent quality sweeping dynamic upgrade for the rear A5 B8.5 FL LED's:

Hi,
It was the Parkes web site that I found that modified your existing units, but I am now wondering if it is possible to retrofit OEM units from a car that had these fitted already.
I have the dynamic wing mirrors fitted using aftermarket replacements, and that has given me the bug to get the rear lights too.
