Like doubledoom mentioned, this unfortunately has happened to several forum members' cars. (See this thread.) It's a shame that the entire headlight assembly has to be replaced.

Can this be fixed at home or do I have to take my car to service to make them change the diod?

Are you sure that it can't be fixed at home? Because in my manual it says clearly how to remove the lamp and fix the bad diod....

OK, so you've got me a bit confused by your statements above. So, your owner's manual shows how to replace an individual diode? If so, is there any particular reason you haven't attempted the repair yourself?

Based upon what others have reported here, I assumed the entire headlight assembly had to be replaced.
