Hello,

one of the diods stopped working. On one side now i have 8 on the other only 7. Can this be fixed at home or do I have to take my car to service to make them change the diod?

Thank you

Its a common error that has occured to a number of forum members (myself included).

Its a warranty fix as it requires the whole headlamp to be replaced.
Like doubledoom mentioned, this unfortunately has happened to several forum members' cars. (See this thread.) It's a shame that the entire headlight assembly has to be replaced.

BTW Alejandro, how long have you had your car?
I have been having it since January.
Are you sure that it can't be fixed at home? Because in my manual it says clearly how to remove the lamp and fix the bad diod....

OK, so you've got me a bit confused by your statements above. So, your owner's manual shows how to replace an individual diode? If so, is there any particular reason you haven't attempted the repair yourself?

Based upon what others have reported here, I assumed the entire headlight assembly had to be replaced.
The LEDs are integral to the headlamp unit so I cannot see how you can replace just one of them.
What happens if you have the Euro spec headlights installed and your DRL goes out. Will audi replace it???
