What happened to this car? Interestingly, I have the same car with 64K original miles here in 2020. Thinking of all sorts of stuff i'd like to do to it! Is supercharging the only way to make more grunt? now that the car is basically 12 years old (but still perfect, not a dent, no real road rash, garaged, driven 3K miles a year'ish, interior perfect), I'm now thinking through replacing most if not all of the important rubber bits fin the engine bay and suspension areas, as well as a good look at all the plastic engine bay items, plus hoses, etc. Upgrading to LED lighting is likely, and I recent found a vendor in Toronto who can deliver an upgraded replacement MMI to 2020 type spec. Can anyone chip a B8 4.2 effectively? Thinking exhaust + chip +some form of better breathing is a start, but given my track care experience, can I do anything with spark, injectors, intake (extrude hone), etc, that someone has seen done before? Not looking to make a monster here, but an additional 50 to 75 BHP would make a huge difference, and not punish the stock bits too much. If I could get >75 BHP without the supercharge route, then I'd likely do the suspension nicely and throw all the backseat weight overboard (I have an idea to take out the entire rear seating and make a couch out of it using monocoque aircraft-style sheet metal as a base), and finish it nicely. Big picture; I'd love to end up withe a stealth sleeper that could be fun on the track -- not a "track-car" -- and be a blast on the street, and on the "tail of the dragon" and all the wonderful twisty roads here in the south. Pleas help me! Thanks all1
