I'm familiar with the process to carbon clean the previous gen motors but given that the CREC has a second set of injectors, I'm not sure what needs to be done differently in order to do a walnut blast carbon cleaning.

What is the process to remove the PI and after removal, does anything need to be replaced, i.e orings?

Any assistance would be appreciated!

I have only seen photos of the valves of a single CREC engine and I can't remember the mileage but I can remember that they were fairly clean - enough that I thought that the engine may not need cleaning except at very high mileage. How bad do yours look?

Unfortunately, I did not take a picture the last time I had my blower off. I've seen photos of others with a crec and they are much cleaner than mine. I believe I have a bad PCV which is likely the cause of the excessive carbon.

I've purchased everything to replace the pcv, tstat, and water pump. Figured why not clean them while I already have everything off.
