For repair or retrofit?

If you are a fairly confident DIYer the loom is very simple to make up yourself, a few repair wires and plugs from Audi, some thinwall cable, shrinkfit and some binding tape. You can add puddle lights/warning lights/ambient lighting etc. at the same time at little cost! If it's a repair you'll have most of the the component parts already. Let me know if you need any help with part numbers.

If you're retrofitting folding door mirrors you don't actually need a new loom as the mirrors plug directly into the door module itself (which you might have to change).

(10 days isn't actually bad for a back-order. I waited over three weeks for an aerial amp and only got that when I chased it with Audi CC!)
Repair and retrofit.

Can't get seat memory retrofit to illuminate. Replacing the loom will sort this out.
Has it ever illuminated since the retrofit?

If you're sure that a new loom will sort it then it's probably worth waiting a few days.
Nope, but the lights in the switch work, had them all tested so I've probably wired it in wrong :(

Found a new loom cheap enough anyways with memory fitted from factory so it's all good :)

Will the new loom need coding after being fitted?
If the retrofit was coded correctly when installed then you should be OK. The loom itself is pretty dumb. :)
not had it coded yet but dont want half a job, want it to illuminate fully so it looks fully OEM, hence why im buying a new door loom.

will the door loom need coding after its fitted?
The loom itself doesn't need coding. If the seat memory retrofit works OK then I'd expect the lights to work with the proper loom.
