Hello all.
2009 8F7 Convertible

Ive searched for my problem, but could not find anything..


I have done some work on the wiring in the trunk for the convertinble pump, and replaced the f202 sensor in the roof..
Now the roof is "out of sync" I guess.. I closed it manually, but I dont know how to lock the top compartment cover. All switches is in the correct position for the roof, unless :
F290 Left top compartment cover switch
F291 Right top compartment cover switch
F293 Top compartment latch -unlocked- switch and
F404 Top compartment -locked- switch.

Does anyone know how to lock the compartment cover to get the closing cycle complete ??

I found the problem.. The roof was out of sync.
When you close the roof manually, and releases the convertible top compartment cover. And then after locking the roof in place, you are able to close but not LOCK the convertible top compartment cover. And that conflicts the sequence.. 4 switches is out of sync in that position. The roof is locked, but the cover is not locked.
So to get it working again automatically, you have to unlock the rear window "tensioning bow" so that switches F409 and F410, left and right tensioning bow switches, are "not operated" or "target far".
Then the convertible top control unit sees the roof in transit, and can proceed the opening or closing sequence.

Problem solved.
