Is it mandatory to get adjustable arms when lowering your car on coilovers or you need it when you go really low like slam it? Can one get away with coilovers without adjustable control arms? Thanks

You don't have to get them, but it is advisable if you're going very low, or is just peculiar about factory spec alignment. Normal lowering up to 30mm you'll get away without, granted you will obviously get an increased camber and slightly more wear.
