This warning came up after heavy rain ☔ so assumed the sensors had water iver them… but its come up again on a really sunny day.

does anyone know why? I cant find anything relating to this warning in the complete warning displays guide book.

If I remember right, you got yourself a vorsprung which probably has all the tech currently available on a 5.....
See this, hazard warning section.
If other drivers ahead of you have their wipers or fog lights on, this data is sent over the mobile network as a warning of upcoming hazards

My 2018 B9 isn’t a vorsprung, but this warning came up on mine for the first time in three years of ownership last weekend, when I was driving in heavy spray on the M1. Assume it must be associated with local traffic alerts of some kind?

This could be to do with the forward looking camera / sensor in the top of the windscreen being obscured . all models I believe have a minimum of basic pre-sense , which need forward looking sensor . heavy rain and mist or bird mess can obscure .. if it just goes away no issue. I had it several times on my S4, sometimes in ok weather … Give the area around them a good clean … hope it fixes it ..
