Choosing correct TPMS Sensors

My car is a 2009 A5 3.2 S-Line. My rims do not have Tire Pressure Sensors installed and I'd like to buy some. I have found several sets locally, but I have no clue which ones may or may not work. I have no clue which model number(s) I require. Every set I've found for sale says they are for a similar year/model to my car, however none of the numbers are similar. I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this for me. Thanks!!

Does your car have tire pressure monitoring fitted? If I recall the A4/A5 use a system based on wheel speed calculated from the ABS sensors. The in wheel pressure sensors/valves were fitted to other models such as the A6.

This page doesn’t have item 12 listed with a part number.

Thanks John! Here is a photo of the warning lights on my dash. From what I've been able to determine my car has the "7K8 - Direct tire pressure monitoring system, frequency 315 MHz Basic". I just assumed I needed to install a set of sensors

Thank you!! Just so I am clear, those are a "special" valve stem which is read by the ABS system and does not require anything else (like the little "box" found on most tpms units)?
The in wheel sensor is read by a module mounted in the wheel arch. This is not related to the ABS system.

Thanks again John!
@Andy_A5 : You should find Tire Pressure Monitoring Control Module -J502- located under the dash above the passenger footwell (well, at least in a B8 A4):

If you have VCDS or other VAG-aware diagnostic tool, you would expect to find Address 65 - Tire Pressure Monitor (J502) for this.

I'd also be curious if your configuration can be recoded to use the ABS system as described here: AudiEnthusiasts TPMS

Thank you so much. I'll take a look under my dash as soon as it's warm enough outside lol. I'm almost positive that my car has all of the components, other than the actual sensors (due to the wheels being aftermarket). Unfortunately I don't have VAG (I just have a basic "Carly" OBD tool). I will if my mechanic can look for "Address 65" next time I visit him. Hopefully the modules and other components are in good working order.

Andy, in my opinion you should consider coughing up for the basic VCDS system cos your car is a complex one and VCDS can help loads. MUCH more than Carista I think.
Thanks Simon. I think you're absolutely right. The Carly is "a toy". I will be looking into a proper VCDS system.
