Hello, I've been having a few problems with my 09 lately and I can't seem to figure out what the cause is. A while back my parking brake stopped releasing automatically (which made it useless for hill starts), though it still worked fine for parking. At some point, I found a water bottle stuck under the passenger seat and when I pulled it out that essentially cured the problem. That problem hasn't returned for a couple of months now, but I'm wondering if it's related to the following two issues:
About 2 months ago the passenger door lock stopped working. It wasn't seized, but wouldn't open without pulling the handle, and once opened from the inside it would no longer unlock (including using the interior buttons). I just lived with this problem hoping to fix it later.
At around the same time, a problem showed up where air won't blow out of the vents. The heater core still seems to heat up just fine as the vents are noticeably warm (and eventually warm the car) but no air blows out. This includes the windshield defroster.
All three of these problems have been on and off to varying degrees, but now that I'm on break I'd like to get them fixed (permanently I hope).
After looking through the fuse locations I found that the passenger door control module, parking brake, and several heater components are in the same fuse box (in the trunk). I found no blown fuses but after clicking everything back into place the door locks seemed to function perfectly. The vents still weren't blowing air so I went inside to look for a few more fuses and when I came back out the doors wouldn't unlock.
That's basically where I'm at right now. I'm out of clues as to whether these issues are electrical or mechanical and what I can do to fix them. I've seen a bunch of posts on here about similar problems with the door locks but I don't know why it would be temporarily fixed by fumbling with the fuses if it's a mechanical issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
