Hi guys just got a carplay/android auto media interface box. Because I'm 2g high needs 2 wires joining to cab bus plug, instructions are limited. Shows
CAN 1+ to 15/20 or 6/26
CAN 1- to 5/20 or 19/26

Take that if its a 20pin plug use 15 & 5
26 pin plug use 6 & 9

Google shows a module right side when remove glovebox, this right?
Some show under dash or steering wheel??

The convenience CAN is on pins 5 and 15 on the gateway. The gateway can be found to the right when you remove the glove box on RHD cars.
If you unplug the gateway with the battery connected you will have a ton of faults to clear with VCDS.

Up to you really. You know what you are likely to run into.

All sorted, really easy once go going, made lovely soldered wires, to can +- & nav button wire, all loom wrapped in propper vag cloth tape. But bloody lvds switch box looks like faulty.
Car screens are all fine once switch over to media box screen just flashes, even with input cables removed. Box returned for another so hopefully will sort it, I'll do a good write up & show pins to join for 2g mmi.

Hi, did you get to the bottom of what caused the white screen flashing? I'm having the same issue?

It was the dip switches, original instructions were wrong, needed to be this for 2g
