So my A5's timing chain jumped some teeth and bent all my valves & damaged the intake camshaft. I replaced all valves and bought a new camshaft for the intake side only.
Now the engine is assembled and it starts! However, my vag-com gives me an error:

P0010(69) Camshaft position (CMP) actuator, intake/left/front, bank 1 - Circuit malfunction
I've looked up the code on google and the symptoms checks up with that I have on mine:
Some loss in performance
Rare misfires
and engine feels a bit jumpy(feels like slight misfiring) if you have the gas pedal in a consistent pace.

My question; Does circuit malfunction mean either the sensor it self or the wiring is defect, or might there be mechanical fault, eg with the new camshaft?
