Hey all.

Ive a 2021 RS5 and the brakes squeaked like hell under gentle breaking. Audi replaced them for free and it went away but its just starting to squeak again under slow gentle braking... the kind you get in traffic going down hill Is anyone else experiencing this and have you found a way to kill it off?

Mate could be one of several things. I suggest that you visit a good tyre fitter and or a good independent VAG specialist who can surely help. The official stealers tend to be crap!!!!

Ps some pics of your car please!!!!

Thanks mate, I've seen a fair few owners who seem to have same issue. Porsche owners too. I'll see if I can get the local vag specialist to have a look see.

I'm yet get some better pics the the day I collected it... hopefully might get some snow pics soon :p

I can't comment on the RS5, but certainly on my S5 with OEM brake pads the thing squealed all the time. Only fixed when I changed to EBC red stuff when I came time to replace.....

To be honest, as it's a brand new car, I would hold Audi accountable to resolve this. Frankly I'd be pissed right now.

Prestige motor, top dollar, best they fix it. I'd be ranting on the sales floor making a scene if they don't sort it sharpishly. (Easier said than done, I know)

Haha I can rant don't worry. I actually get on well with the dealership (probably cause they've had so many holidays in Barbados off me)

UPDATE:

Anyway I took it in and they replaced the fronts and the sequels went.....

They are occasionally back, not as noisy so there's chance it might be found back again but we'll see.

Thanks all

Brakes should be bedding in sometimes. Try to stop 10 times from 60 to 5mph (do not stop), form mild to hard break pedal pressure, but with no ABS activation.

Brakes will smell and may smoke little bit in the end, so let them cool down with 15 minutes ride with no or less braking.

The squeak will gone for a while.

RS4/RS5 with speed limit 280 km/h have harder front brake pads, which need this procedure every other month, in my own experience.
