It depends on what you are looking for - stage 1, 2 or more? At stage 1 there is not much difference between maps. How do you plan to convince yourself that you'll get what you paid for? I'm not very trusting which is partly why I used a tuner who has a rolling road.

I went to an independent remapped called DC remaps at Warrington. They have a dyno for before and after printouts. Its a fully customised map specific for your car so does take around 2.5/3hrs in total.

The price is the same as revo /034 /Apr but I saw a larger difference in performance gains.

Mine went from 218bhp 400nm TQ >> 310bhp 600nm TQ with print out on dyno. The actual driving difference is morenthan phenomenal.

Previous to this remap I went to remap Kings for a generic map but the jump was negligible and honestly couldn't feel the difference so I got a refund for it.

That's my two pence piece on it 😁

I got mine done locally at Velocity Tuning and took my 2014 S5 from 333hp up to 427hp via a stage 1 remap. He even managed to get some pops and bangs when lifting off the throttle in sports transmission :) aside from the power gains, the fuel economy is about the same, but the acceleration is much smoother and more predictable.

it’s also worth bearing in mind that the higher the grade of fuel you use in your car, the more gains a remap can get out of it.

Hi bezzer51,
I have a 2009 3.0tdi and went with a Revo stage 1. It's more than enough (especially in "sport" mode). Decide whether or not you want it remapped with supermarket fuel or a higher quality as it will make a slight difference. But bear in mind that if you do go premium you'll have to feed your car that every time you fill up. I'd suggest putting at least a tank full of good stuff through your tank first though. If you are in Wiltshire then give Dialynx a call. They are VAG specialists and are very knowledgeable. Expect to pay about £400.
i always use tesco 99 or shell vplus
