So I know it’s not an A5 but it’s A5 related sort off.

My B8 A5 has decided it wants to identify as a potato currently so I’ve bought a cheap runaround 2006 b7 a4 cab. (In the northern England winter cos I’m clever like that!)

now the up shift paddle on the steering wheel works fine but the down doesn’t. As I’m hoping to spin this thing for a little profit when the sun returns I’m hoping this is an easy fix however several hours of forum searching hasn’t led to many leads. It seems to be that they both work or both don’t work

has anyone come across this issue with the multutronic paddle shifts before?

And I might have to throw a “how much is this going to cost” thread up about the b8 as I kinda love it and it doesn’t deserve to die by my hand,

It’s a lovely driving car to be fair Simon! I might even keep it but if I can find that fault 3 mins into a test drive then I’d expect anyone to and beyond that, it’s going to wind me up when I want to drop a cog and give it a boot. So I now have to resolve it by any means necessary
