Mike thats a good one!!! I LOVE the A4 cabrio, I had one on loan for a few months (1.8T engine, blue) and really enjoyed the gentle fun. But I was Rome based so I could use her topless!!!

Sorry no idea about the paddles. Maybe remove them and leave her in drive?????

My wife is from Plymouth but we live in Florida so the top is up about once a month! As for your shifting issue, I'd say you need to take the wheel off and replace the paddles on the back of the wheel. It sounds like a wire is chafed and the wiring is part of that paddle, not a separate harness.
