Agreed, do not wait, if you have the initial deposit, go for it.
By the way the Audi dealer I went to had a no-refund policy in their terms and conditions, I had them write directly on the order form that my deposit was refundable.
Just in case (this would never happen) current owners unearth some major flaw or mechanical problem / recall, want to make sure that I can get out of the deal without loosing my deposit.
