Hi,
What is going on with my Audi...?

The coolant temp used to be around 90deg and since a month it keeps ~73deg all the time :/ the lower temp is visible on the dashboard.

The outside temp from 0 to -16 and the same result all the time... I had even took the fans' fuse but still the same...

I mean a coolant temperature sensor is very cheap circa £10... Lots of tutorials and videos on how to replace it (quite easy), as 73c is very cool considering the temps usually are around 90c.

Hope it helps!

VCDS said G395 sensor - hope it will help! ,
Not going to lie that’s the ac pressure/temp sensor...

Perhaps this link might be of use in trouble shooting, but bear in mind the diagrams are for the 4G model so the Audi A6 2011-2018

It’s worth a read! Otherwise might have to go to the car garage to look into further.

Then I wonder you know if you turn your AC on does the fan spool up?

does it the A/C gas need to be emptied and renewed / fill up?

also to consider the relay perhaps ... hmm lots to think about when trouble shooting

otherwise there are quite a lot linked with that fault code.

see if any of the above perhaps?

Next will be the coolant temp sensor (ordered!) But where is it?

My fan is spining all the time - I had to take out the fuse to kill it :(

I will try to check the plugs as well.

The coolant temp sensor replaced - did not help :(

Checked relays - all looks ok

Checked connecter next to brake fluid reservoir - looks ok

Fan control module and connector left...
Do you have a generic code reader or a VCDS?
Because VCDS or OBDeleven (works only with android) will give you a specific fault codes, rather than you throwing parts at it!

With the specific code you could trouble shoot a lot better to be honest!

also either low AC refrigerant or needing to replace the fan see thread:

I do - VCDS.

It says P0481-004
Might’ve found another good one for you to look into by the way!

Does this sound about right??

Very similar situation!
