Has anyone here successfully retro fitted the rear sunshade in their A5/S5? I was able to purchase the various bits, and installed per Audi wiring diagrams and instructions. The issue is programing module 46 via VCDS. The rear sunshade motor is wired to the BCM2 part number 8K0-907-064-KM, and the front switch part number 8K2-959-674-JV10 wired to BCM1 part number 8K0-907-063-DH. VCDS gives me "out of range" error message. Any suggestions?

Audi A5/S5 rear sunshade retro fit sorted!

Thanks to Slobo7x, i have completed the retrofit and programing. If anyone is interested in doing the retrofit, I have complied a list of parts, Remove/replace instructions for the sunblind, and wiring diagrams below.

I bought my parts from www.audiusaparts.com.

If you have to replace the BCM2/CCM module, take it to a dealer to have them swap and remove component protection and code your keys!

Nice work! Could you take a picture or two? I’m really curious as to how it turned out for you. Obviously I’ve never seen one as they’re not an option in the UK.

What plug does the switch wire goes to? I understand that you said its pin 17 but theres more than 1 plug on BCM1.

There are multiple plugs on BCM1 and saying pin 17 isn't specific enough. I am just trying to not make any corrections or mistake.

If you look carefully on the attached wiring printout diagram, the switch wire is pin 14 (not pin 17) in the 32 pin connector. There should only be one 32 pin connector. You should also check to make sure you have the correct BCM1 and BCM2 modules.

Thanks for clearing everything up for me. I also had a brain fart and didn't actually see all the PDF files and was just going off of the comments. However, I do have the correct CCM ending with "DG" and I'm guessing BCM1 or hoping but I think I'll be good. I retrofitted lots of things already. I plan on doing a YouTube video soon but I think I have one of the most modded S5 out there.
