Hi Guys,

I have a question that i can't find a straight answer to.

I want to fit some wide 20" Alloy Wheels to a 2013 a5 S-line (sportback) .

I want them to fit flush with the wheel arches but no rubbing and no Tire Stretching.

I need to know what Offset on wheels that are 20 inch and i think 255 width so that they are as wide and aggressive as possible but still fit in the wheel arches with no rubbing. I want the maximum concave look all round on the car.

The default offset for the ttrs style rims i have now is +45 i believe, and width is 255 so im trying to keep the same width as stock just more aggressive stance.

Or do you guys think i should go wider wheels aswell?

I have researched online for quite some time and i keep getting varying answers to this question. Any help would be appreciated.

Dion.

Stock Rims:

The best thing you can do is find the style of wheel you like first and then see what size options it comes in.
You can't work out what offset you require until you know the width of the wheel (ie 9 inch, 10 inch ect).
Mine is a coupe so might be different to the sport back but I have 20x10 wheels, et25 on the rear, et30 on the front. Tyres are all 275/30 so no stretching and I have zero rubbing.

ive decided on 20x10 with 265's. Do you have any photos? and does the wheel sit behind the fender, in my country its illegal for the wheel to sit further out than the fender so thats why im asking :)

i went from 19x8.5 ET32 (255/35R19) to 20x9 ET29 (275/30R20) on my 2008 S5. Wheels sit a bit closer to the guard but are still under the guard. Tyre placard says 265/30R20, but they are stupid prices at a bit over A$500 a corner. Went with Michelin PS4S 275/30R20 (A$385ea) and the speedo is now spot on with the GPS speed on waze. Try this wheel size calculator.

ET45 rims will be too close to your suspension, remember the higher the ET, the more it moves inwards towards suspension. Try for ET26 or ET29 20x9
