Hi all, recently purchased a A5 quattro 7 speed 2.0tdi. 40k on the clock 2015 plate.

Having an vibration issue with the car two weeks after purchase.

1. Car vibrates in neutral with an additional engine noise.
2. Car vibrates at 70mph+ through seat/accelerator.
3. Car vibrates when idle/at traffic stop.

I have had a health check done on the car but the mechanic says nothing is wrong with balljoints/mounts/shocks etc. Tyres are all balanced.

I have looked online and some forums mention a DMF issue with this spec of car. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this noise before... it comes from the passenger side and is a low constant groan. I do have a video but it says the format does not work on this forum to upload.
When I don't have this noise I still get a horrible vibration through the seat.. its making the car uncomfortable to drive.

Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated!

Look at the front end of the engine if the pulleys rotate without wobbling. Maybe something is unbalancing the engine.

Sidenote: I really doubt the car did just 40k miles.

Mate you need a scan with VCDS to get some clues. Find your nearest VAG independent service place.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look.

I have all the documentation for the vehicle.. I know what mileage has been done.

Have someone check the engine mounts.
