Hello,

My 2019 Audi A5 Sportback is due its first service. The app tells me I'm due an inspection in 1200 miles and an Oil change in 800 miles.

The cars done 18025 miles.

Do you guys know if its due an interim service or major service? The app doesn't specify and audi dealership are pushing for a major as they want the £450!

Also do you know if we can use an independant garage if they use audi parts

Thanks

Ello mate!! Well, as you car is under warranty I guess that you are stuck with the official Audi stealers, so good luck and er loads of dosh!!! Read reports on here to see which of the various stealers in your area are less crooks than the others. Personally with my more er mature cars I would not go near them and I have found a great indi guy, and we always agree in advance what oil/filters/whatever he buys to fit on my cars, so no problems there. Where in the UK are you based??

Hi Jodie.
It's due an oil change interim service £205 assuming it's a 2 litre engine.
Next one up is interim, inspection and pollen filter. 365 squids.
However the pollen filter is less than 20squids and you can Google a diy video
Doesn't require a major service.
Servicing

And you can spread the cost as in the link above.

You can use an independent and maintain your warranty as long as your vat receipt lists the correct components but for what little you will save I would pay the extra for the dealers goodwill while your car is under warranty
