Hi, I'm just wondering does anyone know how the fans are meant to operate?
My issue is when the car is cold, and i turn on the heating system the fans turn on in front of the car.
To me this shouldn't happen because the car is cold and its drawing cold air over the radiator and not allowing the car to warm up properly?
Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Thank you

Yes it is normal

The hvac has a separate heater core which is very small and is not going to affect engine coolant warm up

My issue is that my coolant temperature warms up fine and stays at 90 degrees as long as I turn off my cabin fans. When i turn on my heating in the cabin the coolant temperature of the car drops within a few miles.
Im wondering when I turn on my heating system the main outside radiator fans turn on when the car is cold. To me this is cooling a system that is already cold and shouldn't come on unless the car is over heating?
