Hi all!
Ordered some KW height adjustable springs for my B8.5 S5 and came to fit them today.
The backs were a breeze, spring compressors and a lift not even having to unbolt anything so my motivation was through the roof!
Came to the front and found a little trouble. When fitting the kit over the shocker I have put them on with the adjustable sleeve at the bottom, the helper spring then the main spring on top. However I found that the adjuster didn't slide all the way down and seat down onto where the factory spring used to sit on it's rubber, rather it sits on a lip half an inch up where it looks like the seat for the original spring is attached to the shocker. This doesn't seem right to me, has anyone else had this experience and can correct me if I'm wrong?

I have tried putting it in the car and rolling it to settle the suspension, with the adjusters all the way down the back is lower but the front is still high so any assistance would be great as the instructions weren't too clear!

Apologies for lack of photos, hopefully anyone who has used them can understand what I mean but if needs be I can get some!
Thank you.

Some images to further assist. The part to remove is number 10 on the exploded diagram. The instructions I have found are as follows in the further images....

As previously said the rears can be done with ease in an hour without unbolting anything, or even taking a wheel off if you have a lift or are happy laying on your back with a couple of spring compressors and another set of hands to pull down on the hub to extend the shockers travel to its max.

The fronts are the more time consuming side, I can't say my way was most efficient but after figuring it out the strut came out and was back in in an hour a side. Unbolting the strut from the lower arm, disconnecting the drop link and steering arm, releasing the top arms from the top hat unit either side of the strut (not the knuckle as that seizes in usually) and removing the caliper to get the brake line out of the way. Then unbolting the top hat, having a set of hands to pull the hub down as someone else man handles the strut out of the wheel well.
When installing the kit to the strut carefully take off the plastic debris cover off of the shaft (number 8 on the exploded view), tap off the spring seat upwards, slide the adjuster from the kit on then reinstall the debris cover. This is the part that caught me out. The rest is straight forward, put in your helper spring if you wish to use it, then the main spring and put everything back in the car in reverse order.

Hopefully this can be of use to someone someday as can't find much on the matter elsewhere.
