Any pictures of an A5 with the front grill blacked out?

On a black A5 if possible, i'm finding out for a friend....so any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry, what I was meaning was with the chrome outer edge of the grill and the audi rings painted black too.

FWIW, that's the same pic I would have posted IF had seen this thread earlier. :D

So attached is my feeble attempt at PS to black out the rings also. It was a rush job, so please refrain from your critquing. :)

SAJ, ironically I just ran across a similar thread posted today on a German forum where someone was requesting a pic for their buddy of an A5 with a blacked out Audi logo. Below is a pic (albeit of a white A5) that someone replied with that shows the logo blacked out.

And if you use house's "blur your eyes" technique, you'll find that the grille surround appears to be blacked out too. :p

That's the idea, though maybe a hair darker than I've been thinking-that may just be the light. Here's what gave me the idea:

My A5 is black normally I blacken everything but I think the chrome on the black looks nicer than all black.

I have blacked out the amber headlight markers and darkened the taillamps though, along with debadge.

Oh but I would like to get black Audi rings.

Removing the little quattro from the front grille was easy and makes it look cleaner IMO.

You can't remove the S5 symbol though because it has an actual cut out of the grille (though my guess is most S5 guys want to ensure people know it is an S5).

I would love to black out the chrome surround and the logo in the grille of my A5. I notice some of you have done it. Please explain how to do it. I love giving my beauty a little mystery. More people approach me and ask me what kind of car mine is and "what will she do?"

I've removed all the I.D. off the trunk (boot) but don't know what/how to disguise the grille chrome.

My guess is that it's custom painted. They custom painted the rear valence on that car a glossy black, so that's why I'm assuming they probably just painted the grille surround (as opposed to installing an aftermarket one). They also painted the exhaust tips.

Is the silver around the grille actual chrome or just plastic but painted silver to look like chrome? I'm thinking of 'dechroming' the chrome around the windows when I get my car but most body shops won't touch it as you need special primers etc to stop the paint flaking off! I'm even thinking about buying some black tape off of ebay which BMW users use to get the 'dechromed' look??
