Hi all,

I've decided to keep my ECS valved system on my b8.5 s5 (dsg) but I want to once and for all get rid of most of the drone with the valves closed. It's really quite bad at 2-3k rpm.

What are my options? Does anyone know if I can weld a different resonator on or modify the current resonator to make the drone less bad?

Adding foam insulation isn't cutting it.

Thank you

Add helmholtz chambers.
My exhaust is straight through, no silencers, non res V8 downpipes, except the back boxes with remote control valves in the tail pipes. Exhaust is now pretty much as quiet as stock, with the valves closed!

A properly calculated sized chamber will cut any drone/boom from any exhaust.
Also are you sure the exhaust is all good with no leakage? My exhaust is similar to ECS's valved system, but made in my garage! :D
