Facelift gear shift installed, I found this a tad bit nerve racking since its subjective on how much to heat and how hard to twist. All done though!
Looks great ... that was pretty brave ... I've read of this mod going badly wrong and the consequences were pretty expensive.

It was actually pretty easy, what was questionable is how hot to heat it, I never really saw anyone say. I used a heat gun at about 2" on ~1000 degree heat. I knew it was hot when i could turn it about 1/8th the way and the plastic started to shift. What I found is that you have to overturn it for the plastic at the bottom to bend to 90. So I had to turn it to 180 degrees so that when I released it, it stayed at 90 degrees.
