Hi all,

I've had my A5 a few months and have been doing my best to keep it in good condition. However, I noticed when cleaning it last week that one of the alloys appears as if it's 'peeling' for want of a better description.
Not sure what it is but concerned as to why or what I've done that could have caused it (only used mild cleaners).

Appreciate any advice from you experts!

Lacquer peel it looks like.

Prevalent on lots of Audi diamond cut alloys unfortunately. If still in warranty, take it back to Audi to resolve free of charge.

You can slow this down by applying a coat of sealant like finishkare 1000p or even a solid 9D ceramic coating. But eventually it’ll succumb to the lacquer peel due to the poor finish. Even my Mercedes E class has this exactly happened and the lacquer is peeling.
