A5 TDI Engine Plug-ins - 287BHP/600nm and 303BHP/630nm

Has anyone seen/heard of this company... I saw them advertised in What Diesel magazine.

TuneKit claim their PowerUp Kit (German) can be installed in 5 minutes and gives power increase from std 240bhp to 287bhp and torque output up from std 500nm up to 600nm...

Is TUV approved and also claims to offer a 3 year warranty (not sure to what extent though). Have sent an email to find out the price.

Looks pretty good to me.


Also found this other manufacturer (Danish) one that claims 303BHP and 630nm torque... looks like the boost pressure is messed around with though.

FYI... 'chips' or software upgrades for Turbos get most of the power from altering the boost profile and level where possible. Increased peak power... yes, but not necessarily across the rev range ... and expect greater turbo lag to full power... it's just physics. The bigger the turbo demand on the original car (and the larger the turbo), the less room for improvement and the bigger turbo-lag.

generic (and cheap) plug-in ones alter the sensor inputs to 'trick' the ECU into changing the mapping required for the current conditions... this doesn't really increase peak power, just how it's delivered, so they are more 'sporty' to drive... apparently!
