Thanks guys. That boat sailed long ago!! Some people think that £2k for sat-nav is a good idea, some don't. I notice another dissatisfied customer for it has posted just today exclaiming about how crap the system is. Not my problem, so I don't care. :2thumbsup:

You're right, the debate will never end and your point about you home is a good one, however, I cannot remember the last time I made a coffee in my car or stored milk in it or washed dishes in it, so this argument sort of falls flat, doesn't it?

That's lame my friend - had hoped for better from a man of your mental capability. LOL
PS - have you got an A5 to attach to your Tom Tom yet? (ouch - below the belt)
Only kidding
LOL:laughinatabove:! I don't have a Tom Tom, I think they're over-priced too!!

WH Smith are selling old 'Road Atlas of Britain' for 99p but careful you don't do a Paddington Bear and follow the Marmalade Road!!

Cheers

RG (Compass in Hand)
More than compass in hand, I suspect! (only kidding). What I should have added is that I have a Garmin - more functionality, clearer display, wide screen (I am getting old, you know) and about £50 less than the equivalent Tom Tom. Even the man in Halfords admitted that the Garmin is better and you pay for the name with Tom Tom (and, yes they do sell both). Also, where does the nonsense about trailing wires come from? The battery lasts for four hours!

Sounds a reasonable assumption. However I have run several CC Fleets and never come accross the no 2 door policy. I assume this is mainly Rep type companies rather than Professional services where we have had Porsches, Z4's TTs etc on the Fleet.

Help me please AB, cos I know your Company scheme has no such narrow minded restrictions!

Cheers

RG
Used to be the case about ten years ago. Now the only restrictions (aside from the size of your wallet) are 1) No LHD cars and 2) No Pickups of any description. Everything else is fine.

including Cabs?
Yep! They lifted that restriction too about seven years ago. Following that our "fleet" suddenly had a load of A4 and BMW 3-Series cabs. One of my close colleagues is about to change her A4 Cab for an A5 very similar to mine and save herself about £100 per month. If I wanted an R8 or a Lambo, or a Porsche and could afford the monthly contribution then I would have no problem getting one. If I go the "very expensive" route as some have, it will be an Aston. Maybe once the mortgage has gone!!
