I have had the service done on my 2010 A5 and the oil change notice is OK but I get the "service overdue" notification . My garage is very good but not an Audi dealer. Do I need a special "tool?" The internet is no help as the posted fixes don't work. I don't get the "questions" the internet states after the <car> <service due> procedure. Help please.

If you have an iphone or android phone you could have a look at carista. Its about 25 quid on amazon. You plug the adaptor into your car and use an app on your phone to connect and there is a service reset option in one of the menus. You also pay for a license but the adaptor should come with a trial license. Sometimes takes a couple of goes to get it to work.

I'd check with Carista that there are no issues with support etc in NZ and that the service reset works on the 2010.

I have and love the Carly OBD2 thing, it seems to work great and even a dummy like me can understand it.
