A5 Cooling problem 2010

868 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Zile
Hi guys i got a5 2010 2.7 tdi 190hp
Today when i was driving it the fuel economy was off and temperature of oil was 90°C and water one 90°C.
After i got home and stopped the car i could hear fans working like they trying to cool off the car.
Whats the problem and what should i replace?
I bought it like 3 months ago or less and i didn't change the Oil maybe that is one of problems?

Zile mate welcome on board! You don't need to replace anything until you investigate further. The fans can often run when you switch off the engine, of course they will try to cool the engine a little. Of course when you purchase a car then a full service is a good idea so you know that oil, filter and fluids are all good. BUT this may not change the fans, that depends on the thermostat which is a weak link on these cars so may be worth changing. Keep us informed!! Simon
