A5 40 vs A5 45 Performance

Hey everyone! I got my wife a 22 A5 Cabriolet and she loves it. I was considering getting a Sportback as my car and trading my Accord Hybrid. Her A5 is quick. Much quicker than my Accord. So my question is whether there is a huge difference between the 40 and 45. Right now 40s are easier to get with the features I want than a 45. Would the 40 still have a good amount of power or does it feel sluggish compared to 45?

Top speed is obviously limited. On both.

Racks what a star!!! The main difference is the torque of course so the 45 will be more fun to drive and allow you to change gear less ofter. Otherwise very similar indeed.
Thanks for the replies! So there is not A HUGE difference in the way it drives between the two? If not then even though the power is less...it seems like the 40 is the better bargain.
The biggest difference I found was making sure it hasn't had the EU updates. I had a 190 and it was fine then they did two EU updates and it felt like it had 120hp afterwards. You can pay someone to roll-back these updates.

That's a huge power difference LOL.
Many people consider remapping to unlock the full power later as they just curious to find out.

5.4sec 0 to 60 is serious performance. I have 2009 211bhp version which is similar to model 40 model. Its a great car but when you have couple passengers it starts to feel heavy.
I'm in a 252 now, I went from a 190 a5 to a stage 1 s3 8v facelift (so around 380hp) and now I'm in a 252. So everything is slow compared to that S3 but the a5 is more of a cruiser. I'm looking into remaps etc, more interested in higher torque seen as I have the speed limiter set to 80. Torque = acceleration, power = speed. I tried a 3.0 v6 tdi and it was horrible, gearbox doesn't suit the car. It's just a shame the 252 a5 doesn't have the DQ381 the s3 has, people are running 600hp/lbft through that with no issue, the 252 has the DL382 which slips at 360 lb/ft.
