The reason is most probably a faulty sensor. You'll have to diagnose it, to find which one. Mine does exactly the same, and it is one of the front sensors, so I am buying a new one tomorrow.

A5 2013 Parking sensor fault
Hoping someone can help. I noticed this morning that my parking sensors have a fault. When i press the parking sensor button it responds with the orange light flashing and a continuous beep for a few seconds. Has anyone else had this issue and had any help.

I had this issue and it was one of the rear sensors . Replaced it and problem sorted
Had the same issue 3 days ago on my A6. A quick scan on vagcom showed it was left rear. Bought a new one and fitted in 20 mins .
