I have reset the oil change light, no problem. Is there a way to use a 'regular' OBDII tool to reset the service (maintenance) light?
I'd rather not buy a Vagcom or Ross right now as it's after Christmas and not a lot of 'spare change' available.
The dealer a a fair distance from here and I'd frankly rather not take to them unless absolutely necessary.
Thanks

Short answer- No.

It's an annoying chime everything you start or turn the engine off but do it once you get the chance.

If the car is serviced then continue as per.

Roger that, thanks.
It's what I thought, but figured I'd ask first.
Well, looks like a new toy for the garage.
Should have gotten one when I had the Eos, but had work arounds on it.
Thanks again!

Why go to a dealer for this ? A good indy shop that does its share of VAG cars can do this, too. VAG-aware Bluetooth/app tools like Carista and OBDeleven, too. --g
