Cheers Restricted, makes sense.

Just checked my last service record and Audi changes the spark plugs, so that's a good thing. I'll probably do interim oil changes at around 5k miles myself just as an extra precaution.

exactly what you want to do.... oil and filter every 5k.... plugs out to inspect condition and change every other service, same with the fuel filter.
If you have a standard air filter, I’d stick one in every service also, if aftermarket then wash and oil etc.
Might be a ball ache but it will ensure you are checking everything regularly and ensure many happy miles for a long time.
It’s served me well for all my performance Audi’s.... my bike I change the oil even more frequently regardless of miles.

Busy day today. Finally go round to installing the folding and dimming side mirrors and also the memory seat buttons.

Hardest part was figuring out how the door card comes off as the B8.5 is different to the previous model.

You need to remove the trim near the top first and this is held in place with clips, I used a taped up screwdriver and with a bit of force it pops out. This reveals a T20 screw.

Also the trim that holds the lock unlock button comes out to reveal another screw, and then the two in the handle and one at the bottom of the door.

Once these are out, you can then pop the clips out that hold the door card in place. Again I used the taped up screwdriver to pop them out. I broke one, but I had purchased some replacements from ebay.

The rest pretty much follows the guide from Audi enthusiasts

I also took the opportunity to add some sound deadening mat to the doors...

Adding the error code here for tracking and completeness following the car going into limp mode over the weekend:

Code:
15074 - Cylinder Disabling
          P130A 00 [096] - -
Intermittent - Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 00000001
                    Fault Priority: 2
                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Mileage: 57111 km
                    Date: 2021.07.18
                    Time: 11:06:20

                    Engine RPM: 6902.50 /min
                    Normed load value: 100.0 %
                    Vehicle speed: XX km/h
                    Coolant temperature: 89 °C
                    Intake air temperature: 32 °C
                    Ambient air pressure: 1010 mbar
                    Voltage terminal 30: 13.789 V
                    Unlearning counter according OBD: 40
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 1 intake manif. injection: 0
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 4 intake manif. injection: 0
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 3 intake manif. injection: 500
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 6 intake manif. injection: 0
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 2 intake manif. injection: 0
Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. 5 intake manif. injection: 0
                    Engine torque: 456.31250 Nm
Interesting to note the RPM, 6902, which is quite high.

So it's cylinder 3 and I recon the coil pack will be my first port of call. I'll swap cylinder 3 with another as a test in the first place and see if the error moves.
