Hi

I hurt myself with the A4 2009 CVT transmission.

Now looking at the 2014 Audi A5 Coupe 2.0 TDI but not trusting the general sales pitch saying it’s not a CTV it’s an S-Tronic?

How can I be sure the 2014 Audi A5 Coupe 2.0 TDI is in fact an S-Tronic?

CVT works very differently than S tronic in terms of gear changes.

Additionally for the OP to check if it 100% has S tronic, you’d need the VIN number and go to Audi directly, email or phone and ask for the full build details. No online VIN decoder/checker can tell you unless you do that.

Alternatively download the myAudi App via IOS or Android. Then make an account, add my car VIN and proceed. Even if you don’t own the car you can view the entire equipments list!
See screen shot as I just used a random VIN from the internet and it brought up their entire list including S tronic transmission.
