I have a '10 S5 V8 manual with 78,000 miles. Recently the shifting f gears has become stiff. I asked a friend if the gearbox oil needed to be bled and replaced and he said there is a shifter liner that wears out, especially when the cars sits for a while. The gears are getting more difficult to shift.

Is anyone familiar with the above? Thank you.
