Hi guys,
I’ve got a 2010 A5 quattro coupé. She’s sat on just over 190k and still drives very nicely. However when I slow down at a low speed coming to a stop I get a very distinctive click. I’ve changed all the front control arms, drop links and wishbones (made the drive feel a lot tighter) but I still get this horrible click. The only think I can think it could be now is the top mounts but I’m not a Mecahnic so I could be wrong. If any of you have has anything like this before and know something I could try that would be ace. The car drives perfectly and my local independent Audi specialist have told me the car is safe and they can’t see anything the concerns them. (They also had 3 of their technicians drive it and they said it drives a lot better than they’d expect for a car with such mileage). I’m hoping it’s something simple like the top mounts and then it goes but I don’t want to go and change them if nobody else can point me to something I’ve not thought of.
Cheers all
