Hi everyone,
I took my engine out and while I'm at it I'd like to address the KMV (0B4) transmission not going properly into 3rd and 4th gear with the clutch fully pressed. The issue started with only bad shifting into 3rd gear and lately, it has progressed to 4th gear too. Does anyone know what could be the cause of it? Synchros? Forks? Too much play in the shifting stick anchoring? Or could it be just with bad oil?

Thanks!

Ray mate take this one step at a time. Try changing the gearbox oil and see what difference that makes, and then go from there.

I think I'll do just as you say... The gearbox can be taken down relatively easily in comparison to the engine. Hopefully, the oil will do the trick. Although there are signs that somebody opened it up and did something to it so this worries me a little bit.
