Hi guys I have a very reliable 2008 MT6 A5, the seats are showing their age and Id love to upgrade them with newer audi seats.
A set locally popped up for sale that are out of a 2018 sportback s5 with the new diamond stitching.

Since its a decade different in years I dont expect it to be a simple plug and play but is it possible?
If the modules/motor are so different could I just move that stuff over from my current seats and have them do the same basic functions that mine currently do?

I dont really care about memory function etc, but more just want to know if I can get them to work with their side controls and not throw errors.

I havent moved forward with it yet. Ive found a few of these sets and am waiting till I find someone who not only can work well with vagcom but wont charge me a fortune to make sure all the functions work the same as stock seats.
My local shop said it would be a huge head ache yet Ive also seen some videos of cars that got all the functions to work fine. If you hear something please post, thanks!!

This is possible, I think hazzydayz has done it successfully, though it's not cheap.
