Has anyone driven both the 2.7 and 3.0 TDIs and compared them? I would really like to buy the 3.0, but I'll probably end up going for the 2.7 because of the price difference which is about $30.000,- here in Norway (28% increase).

Is it worth paying 28% more to get the 3.0 compared to the 2.7, you think?

My current car is an A6 2.4 MLTN S-Line and even though I have been very pleased with that car I guess that even the A5 2.7 will feel like a nice enough leap "upwards", right? Unfortunately, all Audi dealers near me are out of A5s at the moment so I cannot test-drive one myself...

The one item you may like living in Norway is the 3.0 ltr has Quattro. The performance of the 3.0 ltr over the 2.7 is quite a lot but the mpg is still good. The other thing is the 2.7 is multitronic as opposed to Manual. I have the 2.7 and love it as a tourer its fantastic mpg is very good drive it through the paddles in sport mode and its no slouch either The difference in cost in the UK is about £ 2,000 (base models) your price is outrageous

Yeah, I'd love to have quattro, but I've never had quattro on any of my previous cars so I guess I won't miss what I never had in the first place. On top of that I've had multitronic on my last two cars and I've grown accustomed to the smooth transitions, but I guess the tiptronic on the 3.0 wouldn't be that much of a difference.

As for the tax level in Norway... yeah, outrageous is the word... :(
