That is beautiful! Looks concours condition! EDIT: It must be, I just noticed the trophy!=QUOTE]
Thanks Booster
No, it's not concours (but it is a nice used example) as I like to use my cars as they were intended (concours cars leave me cold - what a waste, in most cases) - testimony to that is being caught in thunder storms on the way down to Classic Le Mans in 2006, 2008 and also driving through Tewksbury during the floods on 2007, and lots of times before, since and probably in the future!
Mind you, it does make for high cleaning maintenance!
Here's a photo of the 'interesting' end and not an ECU or plastic shroud in sight (!!)and also on the LM 08 outward journey at Dover Docks, getting just a little bit wet!
Cheers

PS, the trophy was for 'Best Sidescreen TR' at the TR Drivers International 2007 in the rain!- but not concours.
Many of us have an old friend as well as an A/S5 . I may have attached ours!Good to hear that she gets used!!
No point having it if you aren't going to drive it and no one else would be able to look on in admiration![]()
Me too... Although I am still waiting for my A5 so this is getting quite a bit of use at the moment.

Maybe worth starting a "what else have you got in your garage" thread.
Gnasher, is your A5 quattro or FWD. I can get nowhere near those figures even driving like a pussy ! I'm now averaging about 28 mpg over a similarly mixed route. If I was feeling really docile, I could get up to 40mpg on my route to work with my old A4 2.0tfsi (220bhp). The route is 33 miles, 3 miles town, 7 miles A roads and 23 miles motorway (at 80mph). With my 211, I tried it this morning and got 37.3mpg.
Before anyone thinks I'm a big girls blouse, the mpg for my favourite road is normally about 18mpg.
My old friend is attached!
