Hi. I own a A5 SB 2.0TFSI S-Tronic quattro.
The car on a cold engine seems to jump and struggle a bit, but gets better while the engine gets to op. temp.
Is this a spark error or something?

if so. Are the R8 coils a recommended upgrade for a stage 1 engine?
And what spark plugs should i get?

have you done plugs on the car? how many kms on it? i put DENSO coils for an R8 on mine, (I didn’t see a difference) have you had the intake cleaned ever?

Hi. Ty for the reply.
No i havent sone anythibg yet, except for the crankshaft ventilator.
I just pcked up the car, so havent done airfilter, coils or plugs.
I will try soon to change the coils and plugs. To see if that helps.

the car has done 172k KM. And the engine got an overhaul at 80k.
So the oil problems are not this cuz of it.

If your engine's stock, then I would just use the stock ignition coil/spark plugs. If you're upgrading for more fuel/boost, then I would different coil/plugs with higher voltage/shorter gap.

My engine has a stage 1 upgrade, Has a different fuel to air mixture than stock.
looking to upgrade ro cold air intake and a different exhaust pretty soon.
And ive heard to go for a bit colder sparkplugg that normal. Any ideas?

I would ask the vendor that did your stage 1 upgade on what is required. My understanding is that only bigger turbo or larger injectors would require a colder plug with shorter gap. But it all depends on how the computer was reprogrammed.
