Fuel pices keep rising and I'm questioning my decision to buy an A5 1.8TFSI Sport next month. I basically cant afford the 2.7diesel and have my heart set on the A5.......its a stunning car.

TuffLittleUnit was good enough to give me some great guidance on this after around 1000miles, but I was also wondering if anyone else can provide a feeling of what MPG I will get from this lovely motor once its bedded in.

In the main (>90%) of my driving is motor way miles. I tend to drive around the 80MPH mark with the cruise on when possible........although in an A5 I understand that this style may change .

Lets suppose my driving style stays as it is. What MPG do you recon the car will deliver? How different is it to the details in the Audi publications?

Also what can I expect around the town?

Thanks everyone.......I was starting to get a little confused with the UK/US Gallon

Looks like TLU's MPG is not that amazing afterall......others also seem to be getting this on long runs.............or have i got the wrong wend of the stick? It was all down to the conversion right?

Looks like the 1.8t Sport is definately the one for me.........would be happy with TUL's average of 34mpg.......and on long runs the MPG would well meet my expectations at 38.5MPG if this includes some quality fun time .

Tuff, you will be hoping that i'll just find pics of quartz looking crap.....but hey lets face it that aint going to happen......it's a class car in every colour!

Looks like i'll go Phantom Black with Light Grey Milano Leather Interior. Need to check out those threads for example pics!

Anyone got any experience of what a remap would do to performance?
