Anyone got any experience with the below transmission mount from eBay, seems ridiculously cheap compared to the ones I've seen in the US for £50ish. It is just a lump of metal afterall.

Also, assuming people have had them on the car for awhile now, worth it? I'd be fitting it to my S5 V8 B8 Manual

Same same, only different. We sell these on our store. The detail varies slightly, but functionality there's no real difference. Go for it if you're willing to wait for the delivery time.

They're easy to install, and are one of those things that are so cheap and easy, why not?

You're right, I may as well for a tenner. Not in any hurry.

I've just seen pretty mixed reports regarding them

I've heard everything from barely noticeable to significantly improved. I think it massively depends on the gearbox you have, and how much you notice that kind of thing.

I read one chap worried about the "slack" going elsewhere on the car and potentially causing other problems.

I think I know what you're referring to. I heard some theories that it could put strain elsewhere, and it may be that the slack was intentional. Fortunately I've never heard of anyone actually having a problem.
