I don't know, but probably not. I was one of those owners waiting for the SIMOS16 ECU crack. IIRC the first to announce it was a Swiss company called Flashtec who produce a tool called CMD, at the end of 2016. Shortly afterwards MRC, Unicorn and Celtic announced their tuning solutions for the CREC engine. It is more likely that these three tuners simply purchased the tool update rather than coincidentally completed their own crack at the same time. But I'm more than happy to be proved wrong...

Er,hmm Mr redline, MRC? How was/is it?
Hi Smokey , MRC was great , I got to video & see a 711bhp Rs6 on the rollers and the guy was gutted it never made more power. lol
Mine went pretty good making 480 bhp and 605 N,/M of torque and in dynamic mode it is like an axe murderer with headlights. No pulling like a train nonsense just brutal .
Will be back down to MRC in the near future as they are working on a throttle body replacement which I am interested in.
Really glad I made the choice to go stage 1 then stage 2 . As the power increase from std to stage 1 is awesome. The torque increase from stage 1 to stage 2 is breathtaking
Glad to hear you're pleased with it. Is it a big improvement over the stage 1?
Please say no otherwise I'm going to be poor again soon lol.

It is not the hike that you get when you go from std to stage 1 but when your on it you hit 6800 rpm before you realise you could be eating porridge for a while. It is well worth having done and there is no extra stress to the engine unless you decide to go to Silverstone every weekend and thrash it around a track.

If everything seems to be 'under control',your not driving fast enough

Dave I had a std stage 1 remap and car went from 328bhp up to 453.
I immediately uprated the brakes and disc and enjoyed the car.
This is a good option to consider as the car will be a totally different animal, and you have the option to upgrade to stage 2 at a later date if you wish. You can expect to see 300 miles on a full tank
Decided to go for stage 2 with MRC and had there crank pulley fitted and added an Awe intake system for good measure along with the xpipe.

That'd be good mate, be nice to hear how the x-pipe sounds in the flesh rather than on my phone. 👍
